If you are reading this, chances are you like to snap bricks together. Where we do our building is as much a challenge in smaller spaces as our storage.

Surfaces

You will likely not have a dedicated build area in a small living space. Since many of us don’t have a dining table, folding tables and chairs provide the most flexible and inexpensive surface for building. When not in use they can be easily stored away. task table

Home Depot and Lowe’s have a selection of folding tables at reasonable prices.

IKEA has compact and low priced folding chair options, some under $10.

Temporary storage

Temporary storage and building storage can be done with a wide variety of inexpensive items.

Ziploc containers, planter bins or deli cups let you keep different parts separate while building. 18-cell-trays-single-wm-sm_800x

Banker box lids can help when building larger sets or MOCs on a table that might need to be cleared for dinner or other activity. The lids are easily stacked in the corner until you’re ready to pick them up again.
